I'd Love To Change The World RealAudio 1.06Mb(mono)
Music and lyrics by Alvin Lee
Everywhere is
freaks & haries
dykes & fairies
tell me where is
sanity? ....
Tax the rich
feed the poor
till there are no
rich no more
I'd love to change the world
but I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you
Population
keeps on breeding
nation bleeding
Stiil no feeding
Now, come with me
Life is funny
skies are sunny
bees make honey
who needs money?
No not for me.
I'd love to change the world
but I don't know what to do
So I'll leave it up to you
?! ...
World Pollution
There's no solution
institution
electrocution
Just black & white
rich or poor
them and us
we'll stop the war

Guitar Rock 1970-1971, Time-Life Music ® 1994
by Billy Altman
Ten Years After's Alvin Lee,
one of the host of British blues boys
who helped build the Wood-stock Nation, and whose Olympic speed record on
the guitar fretboard had made him one of the biggest heroes of that entire
festival, was, by 1971, as dazed and
confused about where he'd been, and where he was headed, as anyone else.
"I'd Love to Change
the World," he sang, "But I don't know what to do/So I'm leaving it up
to you."
